Starting the new year 2024, Monday (1/1), AKB48's official Facebook account announced the launch of KLP48. A new group from Malaysia. KLP48 is AKB48's 10th sister group based outside Japan which was formed after JKT48 in 2011. In its announcement, AKB48 asked for fans' support for KLP48.
"Thank you for supporting AKB48 and international sister group Group 48 as always. We would like to announce the launch of KLP48 will carry out its main activities in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia starting January 1, 2024," wrote the official AKB48 account.
The announcement also mentioned the official KLP48 website which will release various information about the group in the future. "For details of activities after this, please follow the KLP48 Official Website https://KLP48.my. Please give your encouragement and support from now on," he concluded.
In addition, they also announced KLP48's official social media accounts, ranging from Facebook to Instagram. Until now, there has been no information regarding the number and members of the KLP48 group. Even so, fans of group 48 have been enthusiastically awaiting KLP48's debut.
