Japan Airlines Plane Crash Tragedy, 5 People Reported Dead

A Japan Airlines plane caught fire after colliding with another plane at Haneda Airport in Tokyo, Japan. According to the airline, Japan Airlines Co. (JAL), one of the planes caught fire when it landed in Sapporo.

A reported 379 people, including crew members, survived the plane crash without life-threatening injuries. The cause of the fire is suspected to be that the Japan Airlines plane collided with a Japan Coast Guard plane on the taxiway after landing.

The Japanese Ministry of Defense, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism stated that they are investigating the incident, and said that Haneda Airport has closed all runways.

It was reported by the Japan Coast Guard (JCG) that their aircraft was carrying aid for the earthquake-affected areas, so they had to ground their aircraft at Haneda Airport. However, according to the latest update, five crew members from the Japan Coast Guard were reportedly killed in the collision.
