Central Java Provincial Government Build A Central Java Valley Tourism Area

Semarang, Thursday, December 29, 2022 - The Central Java Valley tourist area will be located in the Penggaron Tourism Area, East Ungaran, Semarang and Banyumanik Regencies, Semarang, on a 371-hectare land owned by Perhutani, the Central Java Provincial Government will build the Central Java Valley tourist area.

 

PT Taman Wisata Jateng (TWJ) as the project manager replaced the land by asset swapping in the Kulurejo Village area, Nguntoronadi District, Wonogiri Regency, As compensation for land use for the Central Java Valley.

 

According to the Central Java Valley plan, construction will begin on August 15, 2020, which was marked by the laying of the first stone by the Governor of Central Java, Ganjar Pranowo. This tourist destination was built on an area of 371 hectares. Part of the land utilizes Perum Perhutani forest land.

 

The replacement of forest land was in Wonogiri. PT TWJ as the developer is obliged to replace the Perum Perhutani forest land. In Kulurejo Village and Bejo Sub-District, Nguntoronadi District, Wonogiri, PT TWJ has provided a replacement candidate for the forest land area of 238.6.

 

PT TWJ has an obligation to replace the forest area of Perum Perhutani which is used for the development of the Central Java Valley in Banyumanik, Semarang. “It is indeed our applicant, but the land will be handed over to Perum Perhutani later. This is profitable for Perum Perhutani and a positive thing for the country because the forest is expanded," said Handoko.
