Pati Regency Hit By Flash Floods Hundred of Drifting House

Semarang | December 2, 2022 - Flash floods that hit Sinomwidodo Village, Tambakromo District, Pati Regency on Wednesday (30/11/2022) afternoon into the evening caused flooding in seven sub-districts and damaged hundreds of houses. In fact, there were two houses in the village that were washed away by the flood.

 

Severe flooding occurred in Sinomwidodo Village, Tambakromo District. The floods are thought to have been caused by massive deforestation and mining in the Kendeng mountains.

 

As a result, when the Kendeng area is hit by heavy rains with an intensity of quite a long time, the lower Pati region will be inundated, including Sinomwidodo Village in Tambakromo District.

 

On Thursday (1/12/2022) morning, hundreds of residents together with TNI and Polri officers as well as volunteers and the Pati District BPBD worked together to clean up the remains of ruined houses and floods and repair damaged houses.

 

Meanwhile, Tambakromo Sub-District Head, Mirza Nur Hidayat, who checked the location, said that from the data he obtained, at least two residents houses were washed away by the flash floods.

 

In addition, there were 213 houses with moderate damage and 411 houses with light damage. Flash floods also submerged six cars and 263 motorbikes.
