Semarang | November 28, 2022 - The Provincial Government of Central Java through the Environment and Forestry Service has planted more than 1 million tree seedlings to save critical land scattered in various regions.
The number of seeds that have been planted for one year from January to October 2022 has reached 1,177,075 tree seeds. The tree planting was carried out on critical land in 35 regencies/cities with different areas.
Tree seeds planted are hardwood (forestry) and multipurpose tree species (MPTS) seeds such as Teak, Mahogany, Sengon, Acacia, Sugar Palm, Fir, tamarind, Flamboyant, Kelor, Banyan, Guava, Pachira, Pucuk Merah, Trembesi, Ketepeng.
Protecting the environment is a shared responsibility, so it is especially important to maintain the availability of clean water in springs.
Head of the Central Java Province Environment and Forestry Service (DLHK), Widi Hartanto, added that his party is carrying out forest and land rehabilitation activities, starting from reforestation to saving critical land.
The Provincial Government of Central Java already has a planting movement so that later it can become a culture to continue planting in places where there is still vacant land, to be planted so that the environment can be maintained.
