He stressed that there are a number of policies that are currently being implemented in order to achieve price balance in the market, including preventive measures to anticipate unwanted things from happening.
Currently, Central Java Bulog is trying to absorb unhusked grain and rice, which absorption will be maximized by the end of the year. Until now, Central Java Bulog has absorbed as much as 105,000 tons as of January 2022.
The availability of food stocks that are fulfilled will have a direct impact on the price mechanism in the market. This will be an effective measure to control market prices.
In addition to absorbing grain and rice, Central Java Bulog also has a program called Availability of Supply and Stabilization of Food Prices (KPSH).
In this program, medium quality rice is distributed through various sales network channels that we have fostered, including RPK/TPK, retail agents, modern retail, iPanganandotcom, and distributors.
Central Java Bulog also routinely holds cheap food bazaars throughout the year in various regencies in Central Java. The activity was held by marketing Bulog's commercial product variants to the public.
