Semarang | November 22, 2022 - COVID-19 cases in Semarang City are increasing again. Even though the increase was expected, the spike in COVID-19 in November exceeded predictions.
Based on data from the Semarang City Health Department Office, the number of active COVID-19 in Semarang was recorded at 178 cases. This figure had dropped to 183 cases and experienced an increase in November.
The increase of COVID-19 began to be seen in mid-October when previously the average number of active cases was 30 cases per day, increasing to around 50 cases per day.
Then on October 20, there was an increase of 25 cases from 56 daily cases to 81 daily cases. And there were 146 daily cases on October 28, from 93 cases the previous day.
The highest percentage increase is at the age of 10-19 years or school age. The local government has appealed to the public to comply with health protocols, especially for the use of masks. Hakam also hopes that the achievement of booster vaccines in Semarang City will continue to increase.
