Semarang | November 21, 2022 - 10 Dian Nuswantoro University (Udinus) students represented Central Java Province (Central Java) at the XVII National Student Sports Week (POMNAS) in Padang.
Ten Udinus students who competed in the prestigious national event were divided into three sports that were included in this year's POMNAS, there are Taekwondo, Karate and Rock Climbing.
Five students from Taekwondo sports are Fahad Abdur Rahman, Devi Ade N, Dwita Isriyan K, Dinda Putri Lestari and Shaleha Fitriani Y.
Meanwhile, two students from Karate sports, namely Hera Irnandha and Getta Shafada A. The remaining three came from Rock Climbing sports namely Aditya Tri S, Bhetari Toto D and Berthdigna Devi S.K.
Ten Udinus athletes are now continuing to hone and focus on events that bring together athletes from all over Indonesia.
The entire Udinus Academic Community fully supports these ten POMNAS athletes. This release was also at the same time the students said goodbye and asked for support from all Udinus staff.
The release of athletes in three sports was carried out in the Rectorate meeting room, building G, 1st floor of Udinus. In the procession of release, the Chancellor of Udinus, Prof.
Dr. Ir. Edi Noersasongko, M.Kom., and Vice Chancellor III for Student Affairs, Dr. Kusni Ingsih, M.M also gave encouragement to 10 Udinus students.
The athletes also shared their preparations for participating in the POMNAS event to the Chancellor of Udinus. At the release of the athletes only 6 students were present and the remaining 4 were conducting training camps for the 2022 POMNAS.
On that occasion, Udinus Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Ir. Edi Noersasongko, M.Kom., was also proud of the inclusion of Udinus students in the Central Java Province squad in this POMNAS. He hopes that Udinus athletes who will compete in the event at POMNAS in Padang City will be able to give their best for Central Java and of course for Udinus.
