Semarang | November 15, 2022 - Section II of the Semarang-Demak Toll Road (Sayung-Kadilangu) began to open on Saturday (12/11/2022), being as an alternative route, to relieve congestion on the northern coast conventional route.
The Semarang - Demak Toll Road has a length of 26.95 km which was built in 2 sections through the Business Entity Cooperation with the Government (PPP) scheme.
Section 1 for the 10.39 km Semarang/Kaligawe-Sayung segment was built with a APBN of 10 trillion rupiah. Meanwhile, Section 2 is for the Sayung-Demak section of 16.31 km, the portion of the Toll Road Business Entity (BUJT) is PT Pembangunan Perumahan Semarang Demak.
Road users welcome, Vehicles that may pass are four-wheeled vehicles, microbuses, ambulances, and emergency (emergency conditions).
The community feels that the trial of alternative routes via toll roads is enough to break down congestion on the northern coast route and cut travel time. In addition, the view from the top of the elevated freeway is also eye-catching.
The opening of the line is carried out on a scheduled basis. In the morning at 06.00-10.00 WIB, the route will be opened from the direction of Demak to Semarang, through the exit of the Kadilangu Toll Road. Meanwhile in the afternoon starting at 15.00-18.00 WIB, the route is opened from Semarang to Demak via the Sayung Toll exit.
