Universitas Dian Nuswantoro (Udinus) through the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) established cooperation with the Asean Accounting Education Workgroup (AAEW) to improve the Tri Dharma of Education in the international arena. This cooperation includes research, community service, and book writing in the field of Accounting.
The MoU was signed in May 2024 at Bali with a validity period of four years. Dean of FEB Udinus, Dr. Retno Indah Hernawati, and President of AAEW, Prof. Dr. Rozainun Haji Abdul Aziz, were present at the event. This cooperation includes guest lecture exchanges, joint research, and community service, providing opportunities for Udinus Accounting Undergraduate and Postgraduate students to establish international networks.
In addition to the MoU, the event also organized an international conference attended by participants from the Philippines, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Cambodia. In the conference, two Udinus Master of Accounting students, Nela Nehayati and Fatimah, won the Best Paper title in the Management Accounting category.
Nela's research examines the analysis of transfer pricing decisions related to bonus mechanisms, tunneling incentives, and the mediating role of tax minimization. Meanwhile, Fatimah examines the effect of leverage and tax planning on earnings management of companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange.
The Dean of FEB Udinus and Head of the Master of Accounting Programme, Enny Susilowati, provided direct guidance in this research. Enny emphasised the importance of good corporate governance to create a balance between the interests of companies and the government in tax management.
