Universitas Dian Nuswantoro (Udinus) continued to make brilliant achievements in the world of research. One of the research projects, ‘Development of Indonesian Natural Materials as Green Corrosion Inhibitor Based on Material Computation’, won an award at the prestigious Research and Innovation for Advanced Indonesia (RIIM) Award 2024 from the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN).
The award was received directly by the Vice Rector I for Academic Affairs, Prof. Dr. Supriadi Rustad, M.Si., who attended the event along with other members of the Udinus research team. They are Dr. T. Sutojo, M.Kom., Dr. Muhamad Akrom, M.Si., and Dr. Wahyu Aji Eko Prabowo.
Vice Rector I for Academic Affairs, Prof. Dr. Supriadi Rustad, M.Si., was also proud of the award achieved by researchers at Udinus. He said that this award placed Udinus as the only private university to receive the BRIN RIIM Award 2024. This was achieved by the Udinus research team after successfully eliminating thousands of proposals from various universities in Indonesia.
BRIN Chairman, Laksana Tri Handoko, explained that the RIIM Award is given as a form of state support for researchers who have contributed significantly to the progress of research in Indonesia. This year, the RIIM Award is given in three categories, RIIM Competition, RIIM Expedition, and RIIM Start Up.
Udinus achieved an award in the RIIM Competition Award category, which is given to teams that are able to produce technological novelty. This achievement proves that Udinus is able to compete with other universities in this field.
