The prestigious title of Women FIDE Master (WFM) was awarded to Evi for her outstanding performance. The Olympiad was attended by 193 teams in the Open Section category and 181 teams in the Woman Squad category, making Evi's achievement one of the most outstanding in the event.
“I am so happy to be able to give my best for Indonesia. I am grateful for the support from all parties, especially Udinus and the coach who continued to motivate me during intensive training.” Evi Yulia Ana said when met after the match.
In the selection, Evi admitted that the challenge at the national level was very tight. The selection she followed was very tough, because there were many great female chess players from all over Indonesia. Intensive training at the training center was the key to her success.
"I am grateful to be chosen as one of the representatives in this team. My motivation is to become a chess Grand Master, and I will continue to work hard to make that happen." She explained.
